Our 4 Days Wildlife Murchison & Birding take you to Uganda’s largest Park located in Northwestern Uganda. Murchison Falls National Park is classified with Savannah grasslands and the Victoria Nile that flows through separating it into two (the northern and southern bank). The 4 Days Wildlife Murchison & Birding gives you an opportunity to do birding in Budongo forest and as well game viewing in Murchison Falls and a boat trip along the Nile River.

Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or at your place of residence, he will brief you about your 4 Days Wildlife Murchison & Birding and you will start your 6 hours journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will go through the Luwero, and later have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking; here you will find both black and white rhinos. After tracking has another stop in Masindi where you will have lunch after lunch proceeds to Budongo Forest for bird watching.

Day 2: Budongo Bird watching Experience and top of the falls visit

Being your day with morning breakfast, then walk to the forest to have a guided bird watching tour safari with over 360 species of birds are recorded in the total area, including the rare Puval’s Illadopses which is endemic to the region. Others include the Chocolate-backed Kingfisher, Chestnut Crowned Eremomera, Dusky Long-tailed Cuckoo, Yellow-browned Camaroptera, Black-headed Paradise Flycatcher, Slender-billed Greenbul, you will also have chance to see chimpanzees and other species including 290 butterfly species, 130 Moths species, 465 tree species, and so on

After lunch, your driver will drive you to the top of the Falls to observe how water squeezes itself in a narrow gorge of 7 meters as exploding it flows downstream, proceed to lodge relax and prepare for the next day.

Day 3: Morning game drives and boat cruise on the Nile

Begin your day with a cup of coffee, and your driver-guide with game ranger pick you up for a morning game drive where you will have an opportunity to spot several antelopes, hippos, buffaloes, giraffes, buffaloes, and if luck, big cats such as leopards and lions and then return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy the boat cruise to the base of the falls. On your way from the jetty point to the bottom of the falls, you will spot several herds of buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, waterbird species, and other wild animals as they flock River Nile to drink water. Continue upstream to the base of the falls to observe how water squeezes in a narrow gorge of 7 meters, later on, drive back to lodge.

Day 4: Departure/Return to Kampala

Enjoy your breakfast; thereafter proceed for another Game drive in the morning on your way back to Kampala. It will be a great time as you look out for various animal species though most of them will be seen in the grasslands feeding such as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, not forgetting a number of bird species. Leave the park, have a stop in Masindi for lunch, and continue with the journey reaching Kampala in the evening.
