Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Volcanoes National Park & Visit to the Cultural Village

After an early morning breakfast, with packed lunch, you will head to Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing and allocation into any of the habituated gorilla groups. Afterward, rally behind the wardens in search of the gorillas in the forest which may take 2-6 hours. However, the duration of your search will depend on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle.

As the highlight of the 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari package, you will have the chance to spend up to one hour with the gorillas, observing their behaviours and capturing photos. After seeing the gorillas, transfer back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation.

3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari with a visit to the Iby’Iwacu cultural village Later in the afternoon, you will have a visit to the Cultural village. We ascend for a community walk and enjoy the different performances by the local people at Iby’iwacu cultural village and also explore more about their unique culture.

Iby’iwacu is redefining traditional tourism by transforming local heritage into a source of pride. Through showcasing various aspects of rural culture and livelihoods, it has turned these into tourist attractions, while also creating income-generating opportunities for rural communities. Many of these individuals have transitioned from a life of poaching and relying on bush meat for generations.

Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
