This 2 Days Mount Nyiragongo hiking safari is one of the short safaris to Congo that offers you an opportunity to climb the world’s most active volcano in Virunga National Park. While on top of the mountain you will be in position to see the boiling lava of the mountains lave Crater Lake.
Mount Nyiragongo is attached to the great East African Rift Valley and is one of the Virunga Massif. It lies in the Democratic Republic of Congo, close to the border with Rwanda (Goma – Gisenyi Border).
Note: Carry a torch and make sure your camera is fully charged because there is no power at Nyiragongo shelters. You are also required to carry a rain jacket and other thick clothes because it is very cold at the rim.
